Origin won't launch without internet

Hi!

So currently we don't have internet at all. We wanted to play the sims, but Origin won't even launch on my sister's windows 7 machine. It drops us a BEX error with different dlls each time. At first I was able to get it to work by repairing a C++ redistributable, but then we had a power outage and now whichever redistributable I repair, it won't work. 

A couple days before it worked perfectly, so I can only assume it has to do with not having internet.

I thought I'd share a little update: the problem is in fact caused by the lack of internet, because our internet connection was restored and now Origin starts with no problems. Regardless, I'd appreciate it if someone could pinpoint the issue, as it is a PC and cannot use wifi, so we can have a problem like this anytime, and we would like to play even when there's no internet.
