sims 4 wont load on mac

I was asked to update my sims on my Mac through Origin and I did. Then when I tried to load the game I got an error message then the screen remained black, I could hear the sims music however.

I then quit the sims and restarted my Mac and its still doing the same thing. This time no error message but just a black screen and sims music.

It looks like its frozen of something? is there any advice on how to fix this.
