Yes, and it still has the same issues. I've also tried changing all of the settings to low, lower resolution/not retina graphics, uninstalling and reinstalling Origin.

I tried logging on my cousins computer and hers is having the same exact problem.

Do you have the specs of your cousin's computer too?

I will not be able to get the specs to copy. But I can definitely tell you that we have the same laptop. Same update. I realized that people having this problem downloaded university.

I'm only running the base game, so it can't be caused by downloading University.

I’ve played the game the same day before university and It was fine.

I was playing the game right before I downloaded university. Literally 10 minutes before. As soon as I downloaded it and went to play, boom. I’m scared y’all. I want to play my game.

Been having MAJOR issues with my game ever since the update in November. Was hoping the December patch would fix it but it didn’t. I’ve tried everything suggested on this forum and NOTHING is working please help! 

Issue:

- bad glitches to CAS they appear fully black initially and after the cursor goes over it they are horribly bleached out

- beams of glitches throughout the entire game

- small purple squares in the loading screen

- the game crashes and so does my computer 

I’ve tired uninstalling, removing all mods, CC and expansions, repairing in origin, removing game version txt folder, removing sims folder to spawn a new one and nothing has worked, no edge scrolling, low graphics, reduced to window size and nothing is working. Pictures supplied below. 

Specs: OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6/ iMac (Retina 5k, 27-inch,late 2015) / 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 / AMD Radeon R9 M390 2048 MB

Please can you both update your version of macOS to High Sierra or later as there are issues with the game in El Capitan and updating has helped others. This may be a different issue but updating is definitely worth trying.

I've merged your post into this one where users are reporting the same issue. Please can you update your Mac to High Sierra or later and see if it fixes the problem.
