Recover Deleted Sims Game

I want to recover a Sims game I accidentally deleted but don't know how. I spent over 72 hours combined on that game, building the house from scratch and playing out the Sims relationships and everything and I wanted to see if I can bring it back...

I saved the world but did not save it in my library, so I would hate to start all over. Can anyone help me? I play on Mac, btw!

I don’t suppose you back up your computer? 

Unfortunately, the delete button is pretty final. If you back up your computer you can probably get the actual files out of your backups…

How did you delete it, through the game or manually from the saves folder?

@Bluebellflora I deleted the game directly under the 'Load Game' tab.
