i just cant believe that cheaters show off on Chinese forums that they have reached the master level in ranked
We would appreciate if you check clean out cheaters in Asia server
I try my best to keep calm and tell it gently,You have nothing to do with cheaters. I feel like I'm back in season one
Every time I try to tell the story with the most sincere attitude, but this time the cheater lasted too long. For a week, the cheater cheated without fear
In particular, the Asia time is from 24 h to 6h They cheat recklessly and fearlessly

Sorry it sucks, it really does to play with cheaters, It ruins so much. I'm also sorry to say, PCs will always have cheaters. Just the name of the game. Unless Microsoft creates an OS with PC gaming in mind to lock out players for using scripts and coding, it won't ever be fixed by developers. There is talk of hardware chips in new CPUs being added to both Intel and AMD, but don't expect this to be anytime soon.
Best bet, play on consoles. Only cheats on those are small scripts for reducing recoil.

@Popa2capsand xim users but oh well.
respawna nd EA have given up on cheaters. They only ban when a popular streamer is cheated against otherwise they don't care. I don't think they ever cared.

@Acumental
A creative design company (Video Game Studios in this case) doesn't want to handle their own security. The creative heads (people who come up with the ideas) mostly don't code. They wouldn't know where to start. I wouldn't say they gave up, as they just never really cared. I don't mean that in a harsh way, I mean that in a business point of view. They would rather pay a coder (not cheap) to make more ingame items to make everyone more money.
It's really not simple to find someone cheating. Companies mostly just capture the memory footprint then check a database to see if it gets any hits. It's not like they can just read someone's computer, "yep", cheating. Developer Remote detonates the users computer. It doesn't work like this at all.
Also people using small 3rd party devices like the cronus-zen don't come close to PC cheaters. People cheating on PC have been cheating for years. Even with how many people use these console devices, it doesn't come close to the script users on mouse on PC gaming. Also these cronus-zen devices are used on PC as well. The integrity of PC gaming seems massively flawed in my opinion.
You have companies just releasing the same products over and over. RGB this, Gamer that, Keycap, Switch, 300+ FPS, yet still cheaters at the end. At the end of the day for what? Gaming PC on their desk so they can stare at their RAM while they get killed by a cheater? It shouldn't take Microsoft to do something about cheaters on PC, when Chip makers and motherboard companies could have done it years ago.
A good read is Microsoft's "Pluton processor". It could advance into dealing with cheaters on PC, just won't be anytime soon. So to directly answer your post, Anti Cheat is a security theater. Studies don't care as long as people play their title. 2013 and 2020 consoles are the safest places to play a video game with little to no stress dealing with most common issues like cheaters on PC.

@Popa2capswell.. lot of people got banned by VAC (and absurdly making discuss page to b**ch about it) when the game 1st came to steam, and i notice lot of cheater (include random cheater on my team) just using origin not steam, my point is they should just separate the server between these 3 (console, steam, origin) and i can guarantee you the cheater problem drop significantly

I look at cross play in two ways. One is if a game is paid for every user, those users should have an opinion (voice) in how they play on each device. That being said, I also think if a game is free 2 play, the developer and/ or parent company should have and keep sole right to how it's connected (no user voice).
I think that's the point of free 2 play. Keeping everyone connected. The only reason why PC Apex Legends wasn't directly connected to consoles because there was nothing in place for mouse & keyboard support, plus the wild amounts of cheaters on EA services lol.
I still remember when they stated that Cross-play would be console to console and use the words "For obvious reasons". I get their trying to imply that mouse & keyboards have the ability to be better, but don't take into account that COD Warzone has full support for mouse & keyboard with ten times the profit lol
People can be banned 100 billion billion times, it doesn't matter for a free 2 play video game. Hardware bans are just security theater, being it takes one file to manipulate to get around it.
Also people might be using steam to start the game, Apex Legends still runs with origin in the background. Only reason to play it on Steam is to gain access to your friends.
