The Sims 3

Sorry to ask, but I just got the sims 3 and I put the DVD in, but on the direction for downloading it specifically said "Once the game has been downloaded by origin, click the install icon that appears and follow the onscreen instructions. Launch the game (once it is installed) directly from origin." I've been doing that and it hasn't been working, a little help here?

It opens up a separate Sims 3 window, from there you can manage your custom content and expansions/game packs. Also there's a play button on there to play. Hope this helped
