gifted 60 day time card not redeeming

Hello, I my family member purchased for me a 60 day time card through steam, but it has not activated on my account. I am wondering if I can get some assistance with the activation or if I'm missing something somewhere that will allow for this to be finalized. I have my steam linked through the SWTOR website.
