no event

I've been playing Island Living for more than 3 weeks. In the begining I couldn't see my mermaid's tail so I reset the game.

The issue now is that before of after reseting the game I have never seen any community events. I wonder what is wrong.

Perhaps you could try running a game repair and see if this helps on kicking back in the community events? Open Origin, click 'Game Library' then right-click Sims 4 > Repair Game ]. Make sure to let it run until it has completed all repairs (it will do the base-game first, then run through each of your expansions/packs).
