15-20FPS in BF5 Using GTX1080

★★★★ Novice

Terrible FPS in Multiplayer BF5
It keeps 15-20FPS and totally unplayable

Specification of My PC:

CPU: Ryzen 2600

MB: Asrock AB350M Pro 4

RAM: ADATA XPG Z1 8GB x2 (16GB)

SSD: WD Black NVME M.2 SSD

Graphics Card: MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X 8GB

I tried the following:

Update Driver

Update Window

Unplug and reinstall Graphic Card

Max Power usage of Graphic Card

Tune down resolution as much as I can

Tune down to Low Graphic Quality

100% resolution scale

Did you monitor your system usage during play to identify the bottleneck?
Try using MSI Afterburner or HWMonitor.
See which component is maxing out in usage, or if you have a thermal throttle.

Checked that, Done that

No bottleneck Identified

I notice this only happens when I enter a populated server but not empty server

I get excellent graphics and FPS in empty server

To be honest, I am pretty sure it is a software problem but not a hardware problem

I see no problem running other high demanding game in Ultra with stable 60FPS

I played BF5 beta and it was smooth.

The fact that it has issues on populated servers, tells me it's probably something with the CPU. Because more players usually increases CPU usage.
What is the per core usage during game play?

It's about 50-60% load in a populated server.
I had no issue in BF1

Sounds like specific bug with the game or net code. Maybe submit a support ticket with EA.

Just to rule it out, how is your network performance during play?
Try to ping your default gateway during 64 player multiplayer.
E.g., type in command prompt
ping 192.168.1.1 -n 20 (or whatever gateway ip you have; use ipconfig to find it)

Have you tried the following?

Open up  "NVIDIA Control Panel" -> from the NVIDIA Control Panel, select the "Manage3D settings" from the left column -> click on the Power management mode drop down box and select "Prefer Maximum Performance".

Seen this on GTX 1080s, another option is to toggle between DX11 and DX12 from ingame.
