since installin battlefield 4 - left trigger aim has gone dodgy in both bf3 and 4

My left trigger aim has gone weird not only for bf4 but also bf3 - its not the controller as it works perfectly on cod - if i change soldier buttons to lefty it works fine but then the left stick sprint fails - why is this happening.

ive formatted my hard drive and cleared cache - it still doesnt work

in vehicles the left trigger works as a break in bf3 perfectly
