Screen freezing

Hi, while playing Battlefield 1, my screen freezes every 5 seconds. It disrupts the fluidity of the game. When I looked at other forums, they told me to turn off the directx 12 setting. I turned it off but it still hangs. I also verified my files on Steam but it still persists. What can I do? thanks.
