LOST DISC FOR SIMS 3

Hi, 

I have lost my discs for sims 3 and ambitions when moving, I still have the programmes installed on my laptop and the installation codes. It won't let me register the account as it says it is already in use, my brother used to use the disc as awell so this could be it but I have had it for years so that could also be it too. 

What would you recommend I do as I really want to play?
