Stuck on Processing Download in EA App for PC (Windows) for over a day and it is not going anywhere. Is this typical or is there something else to do? I have deleted the app, reinstalled it, cleared the cache & restarted the computer.

@annabellabug Try uninstalling the App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine). Restart your computer before reinstalling.
If that doesn't help, please let me know what the App is trying to download.

Looks like that didn't help. I am trying to install Sims 4

@annabellabug Uninstall the App with Revo again, then create a new folder where you'll be installing Sims 4. The folder should be on the root level of the drive of your choice, for example C:\Games is fine, but not C:\Program Files\Games.
When you reinstall the App, select this new folder as the default install location; the option should be under Custom on one of the install screens. Then try again to download Sims 4.
