i lost my gamplay data

my computer shut down while i was playing the sims. when i went back to the sims again, my whole file of game is gone. How do i fix this?

do you have a back up save ? from when you last saved your game ? go to the electronicsarts/thesims3/saves folder if whatever you named your game for example i have a save named SSV.sims3 the back up will be SSV.sims3.backup if my main save is missing but the backup folder is there  if the back up folder is there i very carefully rename it by removing the .backup  usually there will be some loos of gameplay as that backup folder is from when ever the game was saved
