I haven't played Sims 3 for over one and a half years now and I really missed it, so I wanted to play it again.. well, when I was finally logged in to my old origin account (which has no EA Accound connected), I started the game and THIS (link or attached file down below) happened.. what can I do about it? I could just cry, I'm so desperate right now.. D:
It says something like: While starting the game, an error occurred. For more information view the Log-Data.

@viviienmichelle Try running Origin as an administrator: right-click on the Origin shortcut and select "Run as administrator." In fact, while troubleshooting, be sure to run Origin as an admin every time. If that alone doesn't help, please set exceptions in your antivirus/firewall for Origin.exe, Sims3Launcher.exe, and TS3.exe. If you have Controlled Folder Access enabled, please also allow all three of these executables access. Here's a guide; it's for Sims 4, but the principle is exactly the same:

If this doesn't help, please do a clean uninstall of Origin and reinstall. First, clear Origin's cache:
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
Then use Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine, either regular or portable) to remove all traces of Origin, except for the Origin Games folder. Here's how:
Next, download and install Origin—the regular version, not the beta; run the installer as an admin as well. Here's the direct download link:

If none of this helps, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
