dear EA,
I'have just bought a new laptop, which i would like to play my old sims 3 game on. trouble is, that it hasn't a dvd-drive. i thought I could register the game in origin and then download it through origin, but then it tells me, the serial key has already been used. That might be right, because i tabbed it in when i installed the game on my old computer in the old fashion way with the dvd, but shouldn't I be able to register anyway? I tried with my two expansion packs, and then it worked. But isn't there a way to install the main game on my new computer not including a dvd drive?
Please help me...

if you registered your game at the time you got them the code is tied to your account you registered them on and do not need to be registered again
if you have an origin account , if you haven't done so already download origin to your computer once that's downloaded and installed log in there from the shortcut icon with the email and password you use for the account you should have adigital version of the game there to download and install
from the my games tab make sure when you launch the orign from the desktop in the my games tab set it to all games just in case the game hid it's self
