Hi, recently I have been bugged by this issue. This has not only happened on Sims but also sometimes random when I, for example, use Chrome. I've looked up various numbers of solutions online with temporary success, with that means that the problem has returned. I will write down a list of solutions I have tried right here:
Adding Sims 3 to the DEP (Data Execution Prevention) list
Updated my graphics drivers, both from Device Management and from my graphics card manufacturers official website
Uninstalled and installed the latest graphics driver
Making sure Sims 3 has recognized my graphics card
Adding a register key called TdrDelay (Value 8) in the GraphicsDriver section
I would also like to mention the fact that my PC once while trying to load a game got a BSOD with the error code: Video-Tdr-Failure or something like that. It started a while ago but I can not seem to fix it.
The problem occurs when I load the game, I access the main menu but when I try to create or load a game, then it just disconnects and the error pops up.
I have tried these solutions with success, but the problem has returned.
Please help me. If you have experienced this issue please provide the solution that worked for you, so I can try that as well (if it is not on the list already).
