I downloaded the patch and patched the file and it still doesn't work. (I have a mac)

My game is also updated with the most recent update.

I am wondering if there is a way to make it work, and if downloading any other of the same or different expansion pack would work?

Also, I would like a refund if there is no way for it to work and the store that I bought it from will not let me return it since it has been opened.
