The sims 3 PLEASE HELP [ Edited ]

So I installed the sims 3 and it works fine except that it's laggy and kind of slow how can I fix that I'm using a windows 7 home premium laptop.I also have more probelms. When I try to log into my sims 3 account in the game it says that I need to update the sims 3 game but when I go to the updates tab in the launcher it says origin error and I can't update the sims 3. When I try to download content from the sims 3 store it says I can't download it.
