The Sims 3 constantly freezing

I have just recently added the sims 3 supernatural, I played for about 3 days before it started freezing, but like some parts of the games were still moving, like the Z's while they are sleeping, the fish etc all move except my sim and i cant click on anything! Please help! I don't want to stop playing but its unplayable!
