Hello! I recently purchased a new computer that was running Windows 8.1. I loaded The Sims 3 and it ran fine, widescreen like it should. I upgraded to Windows 10 and now it won't run in widescreen. I tried changing the aspect ratio and my drivers are supposedly up to date and compatible. Here are my specs:
HP-15 f205dx laptop
AMD Radeon HD 8400
AMD A6-Series Processor Quad-Core 2.0 ghz
4gb RAM
I really love this game and thought I could play it as is, but nope. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

@brandynva can you tell us how you solved it? It would be really helpful and we can therefore help others

I did a lot of things so I'm not sure what worked! I was able to change the resolution in the game and that is what seemed to work. It's still really laggy, though. I'm not happy with Windows 10 and The Sims 3 so far. It ran so great under Windows 8.1.
