Sims 3 Installer Keeps Freezing

My sims 3 games were having some problems so I uninstalled all of my expansion packs and then redownloaded them from origin. Then I began to install the sims 3 base game but when it began installing it froze at 3 out of 889 file. I left it on overnight to download but nothing changed. I've redownloaded it over and over and over but the same thing occurs. I am on a mac btw. PLEASE HELP ME!
