Serial number used on previous computer, not working on new!

Hi,

I have bought the game a couple of years ago and installed it on my computer. In the meantime, I had to get rid of my hard drive (crashed with no hope of rescucitation) and had a new installed, while the old one was destroyed. Now that I want to play with the game after installing it on my new hard drive, a window pops up saying that it can't recognize my CD... What gives?

Since I very legitimately payed for the game, I should be able to use it.

Please advise on how to solve the problem.

That sounds more like something with the disc is not ok. It may be broken. Please read here:
