Patch 1.67 not working

Trying to update the Sims to the newest patch and having a LOT of issues. Whenever i go to the game launcher it says there is a new update and of course I try to install it, only for it to shut the launcher and when I go back to the launcher it says its installing the new update but it hasn't even opened the update to install it. I've tried installing the manual patch but that is having issues also. What do I do? The highest patch it has is 1.57 from when I install Sims 3 Movie Stuff.

Try the superpatcher . You should be patched to 1.67

I have tried the super patcher but all i get is an error message

are you on mac or pc? do you have Mods or CC?

PC with Windows 8.1

somthing maybe blocking your update. With Windows 8 Internet explorer has security on it that could cause update issues. Clear your internt files on internet explorer and have you tried downloading the patch with Firefox? Stay off internet explorer when trying to update this game

haven't used either of those. i have been doing it on Google Chrome

thats possibly why it wont download.Use Firefox or IE and since IE's new securtity, I would use Firefox. Even the sims web and origin use IE or Firefox. Chrome does not always work
