Origin wont let me play sims 3.

I have the sims 3 disk, and i also have it installed on my computer. Every time i click on the sims3 icon on my desk top, a pop up from origin comes on and says i have to enter a product code.. I figured this was the activation code that came with my game, but when i try it, it doesnt work! it then says to check my e-mail for the product code, but i made my origin account and bought my sims3 game so long ago that the email is gone...I just want a way to play my game without having to activate it on origin! please help!
