I purchased the sims 3 game on Amazon and downloaded it. It used to work on my MacBook Pro and then when I got the MacBook air, I downloaded it and every time I get to the game launcher and press play, I get this error message that says 'Cannot start the process when the Game is running. Please quit the game and try again.
So I uninstalled the game completely and the Origin client and re-downloaded both and even downloaded the SuperPatch
And now, I'm getting an error message that says 'No game disc found! Please insert The Sims 3 game disc before proceeding'.
I don't know what to do because I don't physically have the disc? I purchased the game through Amazon and it's in my digital library
Can anybody help me with this please?

If you have the 2015 MacBook Air The Sims 3 is not compatible due to the graphics card. You can try the workaround here, using the relevant details for your graphics card but it is not a sure fire fix.
If you have a Mac without a disc drive you can download the digital copy of the game. Instructions here.

Hi, thanks so much for replying.
I mean I just got this MacBook Air and its an early 2015 version?
I guess I won't be able to play sims unless I get a windows laptop -___-
Thanks for your help though

As far as I am aware, the graphics card is not supported in Windows either. The graphics cards are newer than the game and EA aren't supporting TS3 anymore
