Lost Game Disc, however still have serial code - what to do?

Hello, 
I have lost my Sims 3 Pets Disc (therefore I cannot play), but still have the serial code - the only problem is, upon going through Origin, it says I have already used the code to register the game.
What should I do?

Make sure you are logging into Origin with the account for which the game was registered.

I can log in, and have registered the serial code before - it works fine, but will not allow me to play the game as I have no disc. Do I install and re-install? (Will this work as I have already registered the code?)

reinstall using origin and origins version /should/ work fine
