Help with my game

I have the sims 3 installed in my Mac and about three weeks ago I downloaded/bought the sims 3 island paradise in Amazon. When I installed it in my Mac the game seemed to freeze and unfreeze, so I uninstalled it and installed it once again but it's still freezing and unfreezing and it gets worst every time I play. Does anyone know why is this happening and how can I solve it?

It freezes for me too. Not everytime I play, but it does freeze and takes forever to unfreeze sometimes.

There is a fix for Island Paradise you just have to go to

mod the sims to download it.
