Error Code 12 on Sims 3

How can I fix an Error Code 12 on the Sims 3? I have a Macbook Pro, 64 bit, 8GB of memory and I have all the "major" expansion packs other than supernatural. I never had this problem on my old macbook so I'm really confused?
