DLC Compatibility Sims 3 Pets

So this is complicated but anyways, I just bought Sims 3 Pets from Origin online for a PC download. When I opened up Origin and attempted to Install said game, it told me there was a DLC complatibilty issue. It also told me to uninstall my base game. I'm afraid uninstalling my base game will delete my families and downloads. Is there anyway to save these to your computer, and reinstall them one the base game is reinstalled?

 to be able to install the download version without reinstalling despite that message, do not click on the download button in origin click on the “i” (information) button  this will open another window that also has a download button click on that to install
