Hey all,
Looking for a bit of help. New PC, installed SWTOR, left it to update, started the game and no problems. Shut down, went to bed, woke up, tried launching and the unspecified error message appeared in the launcher.
I've searched and done all the suggested actions:
- Delete the processes and Bitraider folder
- Restart PC
- Add/re-add exceptions into anti-virus
- Launch as administrator
- Tried launching over and over again hoping it would just work
- Services.msc and changed bitraider from manual to auto
Nothing has helped.
There was a windows update overnight. Don't know how that would affect it.
At times, I get a message box stating that was an error communicating and the app will close.
Any help will be great :D

That is best in this situation, especially if you are doing a re-install , the unspecified error is impossible to get with bitraider disabled.

The log shows Bitraider Errors, so I would say by Changing from SSN to Non SSN something didn't work out completely right.
If you change the launcher.settings, be sure that all swtor related processes are off, and that the Changes really got saved.
The Link to proxos Guide to be sure:

Just to confirm you set the exceptions for all 3 exe files listed in this guide ? usually a pc reboot sorts this
If not already try the repair utility as well at this link

Did all the steps listed in the guides. Didn't fix it.
Uninstalled SWTOR and Bitraider then tried re-installing. Still not able to connect. I'm absolutely baffled.
Am I going to have to remove the streaming version?

Damn Bitraider. I'm rid of it and the game is back up and running!

@proxos666 An interesting development.
I've just connected my old PC to the net via a wired connection. Unspecified error returns on that PC when it didn't before.
Started up my laptop connected via a wireless connection, no issues there.
There's got to be something in the configuration of the modem causing the issue, no?
