Simpsons Tapped Out won't download update or let me play

My Simpsons wants to update but won't load on my Samsung Galaxy S4.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted my phone, cleared the cache, and nothing works!!!  I want to play the Christmas theme and am missing out on the special prizes!  Help!

Im also having the same issue with my samsung galaxy s7 .. Does anyone know how to get around this... This is the second time this has happend.. They really need to fix these issues asap and never have to deal with this in the future.. Big fan but this is just otravez...

No it’s just not showing up on the App Store 😤

I had to delete it and than redownload it and it worked

How I got it to update on my iPad Mini:

Go to the update page of the App Store on the device.

Put your finger in the middle of the screen and pull down repeatedly until a spinning 'wheel' shows up at the top. 

Wait for it to reload. 

Repeat until the update shows up.

I had to do it twice before I got the update to show up.

This is not an EA issue.  It's an App Store issue (iTunes, Play, Amazon).  The same thing is happening with other games (Family Guy).  I think it's the size of the games.  Nobody had any idea games meant to play on a phone would get this big and complex.
