The CPU usage is abnormally high all the time.

@Sorang-kunThe game is taxing, but should not be that taxing on that CPU you have, random question, are you using 2 memory modules and not just one? Annoyingly the DxDiag does not tell you how many modules / if its in duel channel or not.

You only have 8 cores, the other are SMT, Don't force the game to use those... I even disabled SMT in my bios, making the CPU cores that matter to boost higher and run cooler.

Also update your motherboard bios to a newer version with updated AGESA code. For your board update first to version F32 as mentioned on the Gigabyte site

which graphics presets are you running?

Like the previous replay indeed insalled system memory is important for Batlefield 2042, Dual Channel recommended and the higher the speed the better , eg there's a noticeable difference between 2800and 3600Mhz system memory

I disabled SMT, and now the game recognizes 8 cores properly instead of 16. But it still says Job Threads are only 8, not 16 (My cpu has 16 threads).
The CPU usage is still at 100%. For a graphic preset, I've tried everything. Low, medium, high, ultra, custom.
I have two 8gb ram sticks, not one 16gb.

If you disable SMT/Hyperthreading you only have 8 threads out of an 8 core, you disabled it in the BIOS correct ?

I included my settngs from my PROFSAVE°profile in the text document, maybe you can try these. Backup first your current to another location, than copy paste all the audio and graphical settings in the exisiting one via Notepad. Take note I did not include the keybinds part !!

These give a steady 60FPS on a GTX 1070 at 1080P with a Ryzen 1700, Medium quality. CPU is around 9-16ms

I also  disabled  most features in Origin as you can see below

This is my screen with NVIDIA performance info overlay, the task manager, Draw FPS console command overlay.
BF2042 always takes 60%~75% of the CPU usage, and the total CPU usage always stays at 98%~100% when it's running.
The game is barely playable if I close every single program except for Steam, Origin and BF2042...
Where my specs are above what's required and I don't have problems with other games, I'm just at a loss for what to do.
Is this kind of thing normal for this game?

@Sorang-kunI have / had the same issue.
After trying almost everything, the only one that worked was setting via windows energy option the maximum usage of the cpu to 99% and suddenly the usage dropped from 100% on some cores to 70-90% (more like the real value it should use...)
I don't now why this is the case and so far bf 2042 is the only one that is causing this issue / needs this workaround.

Also I loose some percentage of possible perfomance due to setting the cpu at the default clock speed via this workaround (4,6ghz -> 3,6ghz), but it was running really really bad before that (like sudden drops to 20fps, even in the menu cause one core spiked to 100%)

It was already 100% for me. I lowered it to 99% and tried the game again, but it's still the same. x_x
