@CrabHead501By sunsetting they mean that the servers are closed, but the servers were never closed for carbon. Trust me, i tried myself like 50 times, given them enough proof that the online is still up, sharing origin ID's of people having it in their library, giving my CD-key (they can actually see it's legit and game name, we just can't redeem it on our side)
They even went to their managers to ask if they can add the game to the library, but the answer i get every time is they cannot simply add the game to my library. I just don't know why they allowed carbon to be added by support in the past, but now it's no longer allowed.
I don't get why they can't just sell it on Origin. The game is still available digitally on xbox 360, and still gets sales every year or so so it's not a licensing issue, and I think the licenses for NFS games last 15 years, so they can probably re-release it origin, they may have delisted it due to safedisc DRM, as it was available on origin, but it was delisted in 2013 or 2014 but they could just make a DRM free version.
