how to transfer expansion packs to a new computer?

I recently got a new computer and wanted to transfer my sims games over. I was able to re-download the base game without a problem, but when I tried to download my expansion packs, my origin account wouldnt recognize them the way they had with the original game. After doing some research I found that many people said they just had to register their expansion packs through the www.thesims3.com. I find this a bit frustrating because that was never said anywhere when I was dowloading the exansions originally. I thought that origin would automatically keep track of the games that I purchased and downloaded, but that doesn't seem to be the case. If anyone could help that would be amazing because I really dont want to have to purchase the expansion packs all over again.

do you by any chance have two accounts and your expansions and stuff packs where registered to that account ? if so you'll need to contact CS to assist with merging the accounts
