Sims 3 keeps crashing in live mode

After experiencing a ton of problems on my mac, I decided to switch TS3 (and all of my expansion and stuff packs) over to my PC. During create a sim and build/buy mode, the game works perfectly and I have no issues. However, whenever I'm in live mode, I experience random crashes! I originally could play for about 30 minutes to an hour without a crash but now it crashes almost immediately when I enter live mode. If anyone has any ideas as to how I can fix this I would really appreciate it because I haven't been able to play sims in over a year with all of the problems I've had and it's extremely frustrating
