Sims 3 wont start

i dont know whats wrong, i try install and it does! but when i try to play the sims...it just fails and say "unknown error occurred"! i miss playing the sims now...been so long since pls help me!

If that doesn't help, please provide more detail. What's your OS, did the installation work, disc / download, etc
