Sims 3 bluescreen

I have just purchased (well 3 days ago now) sims 3 . I brought it on Sunday as the shops were shut so thought I could download and play that evening.

How wrong was I down load after download and patch later it is ready to play, I click play and the screen goes blue from the installer.

Im using a high powered machine that plays BF4 on ultra no sweat so sims should be a doddle.

I am so hacked off as I could of poped to the local game and picked it up and have played for hours instead I used Origin. Never again.

Some one please help as im £80 down and no game.

• What's your operating system?
• Does the launcher start?
• Are you getting any error messages?
• How far do you get, try to describe what happens in as much details as possible (without getting too lenghty)
• Do all installed games show up in the Origin client?
• Which base game version do you have: http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2014/02/sims-3-base-game-versions.html
• Which Security Software are you using (Firewall, Antivirus)?
• Do you have the disc or download version or a mix?
• Do you have any files with xctp in your documents\electronicarts\thesims3\ folder ? (those are crash logs)?
