Sims 3 University Life Glitch-MAJOR

When my sim came home from university I could not click on one of the other sims in the household from the panel. Her face doesn't show up, and the game acts like she isn't part of the household anymore, yet she still appears in the panel and I can't chat with her, or invite her over- only text. I tried resetting her, it didn't work. I tried sending a woohooty text, she said she didn't feel like coming over. I've tried exiting the game without saving, and coming home from university again but it still doesn't work. I also can't click on her in the panel to play as her. What should I do?
