[SOLVED] Can't Level Up in The Daycare Profession [ Edited ]

My mom has had this bug in her Sims family for a while now. Her sim works on the daycare profession (Generations), but can't level up past level four. The level bar is full and she had scored an excellent result on her work nearly everyday, but the sim can't get to level 5. Apparently her sim started the career while being a young adult and is now almost an elder, but still doesn't level up.

Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

EDIT: Apparently she finally got to level five, which is the maximum level. Still, it took ages and was very odd.
