Platform Swap from PC to Mac

I purchased Sims 3 for my PC last year.  My PC has since then crashed and I purchased a Mac.  I already have a product code so is it possible to do a digital download of Sims 3 on my new machine without have to buy it again and just use my product key I already have?  

The issue here is that I do not want to purchase the game again.  I want to download my game onto my Mac.  The new iMacs do not have a disc drive.  I will need a digital download.
