I purchased and installed physcial copies of the Sims 3 and several Add-ons. I now purchased digital add-ons and Origin is saying I have to uninstall everything and re-install the base Sims 3 (via Origin). Is this the normal workflow? Will I lose any saved games when uninstalling or will those need to be backed up/transferred? THANKS.

wait was the message you got DLC Compatibility Alert ?

edit to add if it then to be able to install the download version without reinstalling despite that message do not click on the download button in origin click on the “i” (information) button. this will open another window that also has a download button click on that to install.

Yes, I believe it was the DLC Compatibility Alert. I will give that a try, thanks!
