Invalid product code for Sims 3

Bought Sims 3 in store, i set it up to install in origin but after i put in my product code it says invalid? Ive tried to enter it multiple times and its always invalid but yet its brand new? Help

newly bought games either from origin or from a shop/store  can run into the used/invalid code issue and you may need to contact CS
