INVALID Product Code

My mom bought the sims 3 late night on origin last night, and now I am trying to install it and it says i need a copy of the sims3. So i look online for help and they said enter my product code. So when i enter it on origin and on thesims3.com they say my code is invalid can someone help me

Late Night is an expansion pack.  To play any of the expansion packs, you need to have the base-game installed first, which is The Sims 3.

Also, when you buy a game on Origin, it is automatically registered on the Sims site; it can take some time for it to show up on your "my page" though.  Try logging in and out of both account and see if that helps.  Here are some helpful posts on registering your games:
