HOW DO I SWITCH TO AN ACTIVE HOUSEHOLD IN UNIVERSITY LIFE??

I have just installed sims 3 university life and it loads the map view and lets me move people in, but i can't figure out how to change from an active household in sunset valley to one in the university. The button for university disappears when i try to change household. HELP.
