Annoying sound when I change floors

This annoying sound happens when I change floors (instead of the normal little click sound), It's loudest when I change from a floor closest to ground level. It sounds like a metal clang followed by what sounds like a broken sink or toilet. All of my appliances are working though. I have the supernatural expansion pack and some custom content, but no other mods. It started one day when I opened the game. I'm thinking that it could possibly be caused from when my fairy had set a trap on a toilet, but I'm not sure. I have tried reopening the game multiple times and muting sound effects to no effect. It's really very annoying and I would appreciate help asap. Thanks!

I was having the same problem. After some research, I realized that this was due to the prank my sim made. I sold the prank item and replaced it with a new one and the sound disappeared. In short, it's enough to get rid of the item the prank is made of.
