7 minutes in heaven?

I love playing sims 3! Unfortunatley, over the past few months I will play for around 7 to 10 mins ( in this time my game slightly freezes a tad) and suddenly my screen goes black then it says "Sims 3 has stopped working", or "Sims 3 has stopped responding." I have plenty of memory and my vidoe might not be the greatest but i worked just fine in the beginning! No trouble at all! I just want to play my game. I have the base game, then generations, and seasons. I diod have more but it started messing up. Please someone help me!!!!!!! :womansad:
