Spore servers

What happened to Spore servers? I just recently bought the game. I tried loggin on to them (bought it from STEAM, then activated my CD key on Origin, downloaded from Origin and tried to log in to my EA account there). But it says, the servers are down or my internet is having issues which seems wrong as my internet seems to be working just fine.

I cant access Spore.com either. Any news or tips? I would like to access the Spore community once again :/

@Dudstract10n The servers were down for a while but they are back up now. You should be able to access Spore.com again.
