Registration Key to the game spore

I purchased Spore and received a code, but when the game opens I get a prompt to enter email and password. There is no prompt for registration key, then when I put in email and password, it tells me the registration key is not valid.  I have tried entering the key code as an email address to no avail.  Anyone know how to solve this?  Thanks.

You should not be required to register the game again, after purchase on Origin.

The game can be started directly in the MY GAMES tab in the Origin client.

In case you did purchase the game from a 3rd party I would suggest contacting the retailer in question.
