After downloading a java update there was a message that is was corrupted. Unistalled java and reinstalled it. After reading pogo java help went to pogo control page and choose advanced setting. The directions said to click the plus + sign next to Default Java for browsers section...then choose Internet Explorer or Mozilla family.
There is no plus sign to click and it won't click to check mark Microsoft Internet Explorer. Seems to be stuck on Mozilla which I don't have.
Can't play any pogo games. Says I need to install Java when I try to play.

Not sure if this will help some players. But I discover this after I bought a new laptop. I was thinking something was wrong with my other laptop. My games stop loading, all I was getting was "game loading". When I got my new laptop the games was loading. Then it was a few days later they stopped loading. I knew it couldn`t be my laptop cuz it was new! So I went and done like pogo said. I even uninstalled java and then reinstalled java. Still nothing all I was getting was "game loading". I keep trying for a few days. Then I went back to java and again it said I was up to date. I always put the check mark in java to not store temp files. So I thought "well let me take that out and try". Low and behold the games loaded! So I went and got my older laptop and did the same thing and took the check out in java. Now the games load on my old computer! If I knew that was the problem I could have saved $700 on the new laptop. So I want to pass alone this and maybe it will help others that may have this trouble.

Java updates
___________________________
27th of September
Some Pogo players have reported issues with Java security on their computer.Java Version 7 still has a vulnerability.
Java's Update 7 was supposed to address the reported vulnerability. However, it has been recently reported that Java 7u7 only partially blocked the exploit and a new workaround for that block was quickly discovered.
Currently, Version 6 does not seem vulnerable to these recent reports. If you want to install this version please uninstall first the current version in your computer.
For more Java information, be sure to check out the following Help articles:

Java and AOL

Why am I prompted to install the latest Java when trying to play my Pogo games?
Our team is aware of an issue which prompts Pogo players to install the latest Java and prevents them from playing Pogo games, even if they have already installed the latest Java. You may see the following image:
*This issue may arise from the browser you're using. Just in case, we recommend using Internet Explorer directly from your desktop or using one of the other supported browsers: Google Chrome or Firefox. Get the latest versions of these browsers in this article. This should resolve your issue.
Please make sure that you:
If you use the AOL browser, please check out this forum thread on the Pogo forums "AOL and Java".

If you have AOL 9 or later and are encountering a problem, we will recommend you use another browser.
Also, if you use an AOL browser and want to renew your Pogo subscription, you will not be able to at this time as the browser is not supported by Pogo.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled and reinstalled Java as per the download alert which appears when I try to download games. I have also uninstalled the lastest Java and am currently using Java 6.
Why do I keep getting this alert which is preventing me from loading games? This is very frustrating. I was able to play games yesterday morning, but not last night. I spent over 2 hours trying to figure out how to get back into the games.
What is going on?
